Portland is such a cool place to get married, from the sheer variety of venue options in every price range and style, both in and out of the city, activities and things to see, lush PNW green spaces with stunning views, and a plethora of incredible food, beer, and wine choices. No matter your priorities, Portland has something for you.
Hi, I'm Andy! I am a local Portland, Oregon event planner with over 17 years of diverse event experience and 8 years of wedding experience. Double A is my name, Andy Anthony, and it's also the boundless energy I bring to my work.
With this philosophy in mind, I founded Double A Weddings & Events, and I’ll work tirelessly to guarantee that your event will be exactly what you dreamed. I specialize in non-traditional and queer weddings and enjoy those celebrations the most, but even if you skew traditional, I want to empower you to have the wedding that you truly want to have. I believe that weddings should be FUN and that you should get to relax and enjoy such a momentous occasion. I love nothing more than making your special day perfect, to take the burden off you so you can just enjoy.
I fully believe that there is no wrong way to do a wedding and your wedding should represent YOU and so, no matter which package you book, from Planning Lite to Full Planning, I will provide my expertise and guidance while following your lead and respecting your vision. No matter your wedding style, I'll be there to support you and make it happen. In the planning process, I'm a team of one, but I do use lead coordinators and coordination assistants on event days.
I am a vaccinated and LGBTQIA+ wedding vendor.

Have a rain plan! Portland weather can be very unpredictable, so always have a rain plan for your event. The sunniest months are typically July and August, but that’s no guarantee. Even for indoor weddings, outdoor photos can be taken with the aid of clear umbrellas.
Consider parking and transportation. If it’s a Downtown or Inner Southeast event, parking can be a bear, but we do have excellent public transit. If the venue is more rural, getting an Uber or Lyft can be nearly impossible at the end of the night, so consider getting a shuttle.
